    We have had two mallards visiting our pond for two years this year they bred and we they have raised 9 ducklings so now we have 11 mature mallards on our pound. We feed them pellets (chicken layers) which they seem to appreciate 😊🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆😊

    Lie's, they do not kill other nest 😡 I raised a starling , they are amazing. I think a bunch of people got it twisted. There are so many birds out there that will destroy nest & other birds & its not the starling ugh!!! Woodpeckers are very annoying and destroying homes. And the cuckoos they put their eggs in other birds nest, and when that baby hatches it kills all the other babies. Do your research. Ugh!

    • @BackyardBirdsUS
      @BackyardBirdsUS День назад

      Just because you raised a starling doesn't mean they don't have a negative effect on our native birds. I've witnessed their ultra competitive nature. They don't give up. And our native birds pay the price.

    I've seen a commercial version of this called "Bark Butter". It uses just peanut butter and cornmeal. Just some advice, the corn needs to be cooked and then dehydrated and grounded, otherwise the nutrients in it are indigestible. Found that out making Homminy and history of it. Also have read that oats are not great for birds, due to it swelling in birds stomachs, preventing them from eating enough nutrient dense foods. Even without the oats, birds go crazy for this stuff.

    Very nice! I just got back from a trip out West, and I saw a bird for the first time. I posted a small clip "Identify This Bird of the West" on my channel in hopes someone might be able to identify the bird. After a few days, I got anxious and did a Google search on list of birds in Southern Utah. Among the list was a close-looking match, and after coming across your video, I am pretty sure the bird is a Townsend's Solitaire. Thanks! Also, great capture of all the birds at the water source. Water is a must.

    Thanks! We are overrun with them in central Maryland and they are pooping all over the place. The hummingbirds won’t come to our feeders because of the hordes of starlings. We’ve been wracking our brains to come up with some way of getting rid of them. I’m tired of the mess and potential for spreading disease.

    I live in a large apartment complex and house sparrows are probably the #1 bird i see. They complete with tits, robins, and chickadees where i am in Northern Virginia. the apartment complex eradicates them, but not in a humane way. i often see many dead baby birds on the sidewalk, and now i am helping them and finding them a captive home so they can live a life without suffering.
